July 4, 2022  | The Ekonsepto's flagship program for the 2022 national elections, EKONOMustahan Halalan 2022: Magnifying National Campaigns through the Economic Lens, was featured by Rethinking Economics.

EKONomustahan Halalan 2022 is a series of educational infographics and videos explaining the economic platforms of 2022 Philippine candidates. It aimed to equip youth voters with enough competency to assess whether the candidates’ promises are sustainable, equitable, or aligned with the economic future they want. 

March 23, 2022 | In celebration of the Women's month, the UP Diliman Gender Office conducted a three-day panel discussion -  BABAE, BOTANTE, AT BAYAN: Ang Boses ng Kababaihan sa Halalan.

In the second installment, a webinar entitled "BAYAN: Discussion on Issue-Based Stand of Candidates" provides analysis on the candidate’s issue-based stances for this year’s election on various social, political, and economical issues in the Philippines. Ekonsepto represented the youth and explained the candidates' consideration in pressing economic issues.

March 20, 2022 | With only less than 3 months until the national election, the PUP College of Political Science and Public Administration - Student Council (CPSPA-SC) spearheaded the Halalan Series 2022 webinar. It provides discussion on the guidelines on Halalan 2022,  situation of different sectors in the society such as  health, education, justice, and economy, and analysis on the impact and significance of Halalan 2022 today.

As a sectoral representative, Tisha Evite talks about the current situation of the Philippine economy today.

February 4, 2022 | After the 6-month incubation program of Ekonsepto under Makesense Academy, founder Tisha Evite and follower-turned Director for Opportunites Marius Torres explain the milestones of the organization. Joining the panel are other social enterprise participants of the program including RADIC, Feastsaver, Rebirth and GoodGovPH.

November 26, 2021 | In the season finale episode,  "Para Kanino?" featured Tisha Evite, Founder of Ekonsepto.  Para Kanino? is a Filipino podcast that tells stories of young leaders, advocates, and social entrepreneurs hustling to build a sustainable and inclusive future for all. This is the podcast that tells you para kanino nga ba ginagawa ng mga advocates at entrepreneurs ang mga ginagawa nila. 

November 12, 2021 | In line with the celebration of the 2021 Economic and Financial Literacy Week, the National Economic and Development Authority conducted a plenary session featuring Ekonsepto at the 59th PES Annual Meeting and Conference (via Zoom) titled, AmBisyon Natin 2040 in the New Normal, on 12 November 2021 (Thursday) from 01:00 PM to 2:30 PM.

This session intends to reinforce the focus and expand the conversation on AmBisyon Natin 2040 and explore and discuss challenges, opportunities, and strategies that will inform the next Philippine Development Plan.

Ekonsepto conducted a focus group discussion with the youth on their plight as students and young professionals during the time of COVID-19. 

August 8, 2021 | In this episode hosted by the Junior Philippine Economics Society, Yman Macalindong (Director for Sustainability) discusses e-commerce's impact to the economy and financial health with the youth.

July 14, 2021 | As part of the pioneer non-profit incubatees at Makesense Academy Batch 4, Ekonsepto talks in this webinar on how the youth can take part in the discourse of economic issues together with other social enterprises - RADIC, Feastsaver, Rebirth and GoodGovPH.

Ekonsepto joins the Global Pluralist Economics Training Program

July 9, 2021| We're happy to share some good news! Our Managing Editor, Jonas Oblefias, is joining the 2021 Global Pluralist Economics Training (GPET) program by Exploring Economics.

The program aims to transform the economics curriculum by capacitating the participants in both technical and organizational skills to create new learning spaces like summer schools, writing workshops, and e-learning platforms. The workshops will be facilitated by members of the global Rethinking Economics network and other local groups that have experience in campaigning for pluralism in Economics.

Ekonsepto secures a spot in the Makesense Academy Incubation program

June 22, 2021 | We made it to Batch 4 of Makesense Incubation program as one of the two participating non-profit organizations!  During the final pitch, Ekonsepto was represented by Majoy Grefaldo (Head of Community Engagement) and Mae Acacio (Director for Innovations and Special Projects) with special thanks to King Dioquino (ISP Officer). 

This program is an intensive 6-month incubation program designed for early-stage social innovators to pilot their projects off the ground to maximize their impact! The program provides incubates tailored training, group calls, and one-on-one mentoring, as well as additional support and resources they need to grow and change their communities for the better.

Ekonsepto receives grant from Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) and University of Connecticut

March 17, 2021| The grant is awarded to academic fellows of the YSEALI Social Entrepreneurship and Economic Development (SEED) who have produced an exemplary sustainable business plan for their social enterprise. The fellowship is hosted jointly by the University of Connecticut and the University of Texas at Austin.

Ekonsepto joins the Makesense Philippines Solution Sprint

March 5, 2021| Ekonsepto is one of the 20 teams chosen to participate in the MakeSense Solution Sprint, a 4-week program designed to help social entrepreneurs, activists and community organizers build sustainable solutions.  Towards the end, 6 teams will be selected to participate in a 6-month incubation program.
